The Annual General meeting of the Huncoat Community Forum was held this week in the Methodist Church Rooms.
12 residents attended including Councillor Paul Gott. Councillor Dave Parkins sent apologies.
The Officers elected for 2008 were Chair - Kerry Gormley, Vice Chair - Roy Chetham and Treasurer - Louise Burton.

Items discussed included the Old Brickworks Pond, Huncoat in Bloom and forthcoming public consultation on the Hyndburn Borough Core Strategy to replace the Borough Plan of 1996.
Independent Councillor Malcolm Pritchard attended to give an up-date on his efforts to improve road surfaces, markings and highway signs and clean up litter around the roads to Whinney Hill landfill site.
A community action morning is being held this Saturday 23rd February to either plant new shrubs in the Peace Garden or do a general litter pick. Volunteers should meet at the Peace Garden at 10:00am.
The Huncoat Area Council meeting is on Tuesday 4th March, 7:00pm in the Primary School on Lynwood Road.
The next meeting of the Forum will be on 17th March, 7:30pm in St Augustine's Church on Bolton Avenue.
