Thanks for the Memories 9:54am Thu 8 May 08 Yesterday afternoon I attended a small celebration at Huncoat Youth Project on the Within Grove estate.
Oasis Group...The MS Society in Huncoat 3:58pm Tue 15 Apr 08 OASIS = A place or period that gives relief from a troubling or chaotic situation.
We have named the group OASIS as this seems to reflect what we are about. We meet up once a month so that people affected by MS can meet each other and support each other if needed but generally just to have a chat and a laugh.
HUNCOAT IN BLOOM 6:36pm Sun 6 Apr 08 On a sunny day in March, the Michelle Hemmingway and Cllr Paul Gott carried out an audit of the planted areas, boxes and troughs that had been provided for Huncoat in Bloom and mapped out where the bulbs were coming through. With this task now complete planning can continue for the expansion of the scheme.
HUNCOAT PRIMARY SCHOOL EASTER DISCO 6:25pm Sun 6 Apr 08 The Friends of Huncoat School (FOHS) held an Easter Disco on Friday 28th March 2008. It was very well supported and raised a fabulous £216.47. There were games for the children to participate in including, 'Wrapping an Easter Egg' and 'Find the Chicks' aswell as the usual dance competitions.
You may already know of the proposed plans to sell the Methodist Church on Station Road, with reasons given for this ranging from disreapir to poor attendances.
Christmas Card Competition 9:25am Thu 17 Jan 08 FOHS received lots of entries for our FREE card decorating competition at Christmas. The children (and helpers) did themselves proud and judging, as usual, was extremely difficult for Councillor Paul Gott.
Due to the Youth Club now being held in the Church Hall on Thursday evenings, the PACT Surgeries have now been switched to Monday Evenings commencing on Monday 4th February 2008, at 6.30 pm. Come along and meet your Community Policing team and raise any issues you may have or just come along for a brew and a chat.

APPLICATION FOR DEVELOPMENT ON GREEN BELT DENIED 3:06pm Sat 22 Dec 07 Many residents attended the Council Planning Committee meeting on 12th Dec to object about the application to develop the green fields adjacent to Lowergate and Peter Grime Row which would have resulted in losing yet more Green Belt Land.
