Last Post at Longshoot 8:16pm Mon 12 May 08 Longshoot Post Office has finally closed its doors despite the protests of hundreds of Haslingden residents and a lengthy petition. The owners of the business will, however, continue to run the premises as a shop.

Gated! 7:07pm Sun 27 Apr 08 "Gallagher's Gates" are to be closed restricting an alleyway on Manxchester Road because of anti-social behaviour. The gates will be locked from 7pm to 7am. A nearby landlord has organised a petition opposing the closure as it will inconvenience many elderly people living in nearby flats.

Find Halo 7:40pm Wed 9 Apr 08 At a recent PACT meeting it was announced that street signs will be fitted at Deardengate crossroads, Winfields Stores and Haslingden Old Road traffic lights with directions to the Halo panopticon. Parking spaces are also planned near to the site.
Seating & Notice Boards Planned 7:34pm Wed 9 Apr 08 New public benches and notice boards are to be placed at Haslingden Market, Haslingden Library, Victoria Park and Rising Bridge Post Office. Wavery lights are also going to be fitted to the rear of Warner and New St. for security reasons.
