Just before Great Harwood Town folded, we had a problem with apathy from the towsfolk, but that wasn't always the case.
Back in 1991 we embarked on a great run in the FA Vase which took us to the quarter final stage where we were beaten by Littlehampton Town.

In the 5th round we played at home to Bridlington Town and the ground was packed. It was 'ticket only' for the little stand and as the game began I noticed that between me and the bloke on my right, was the only empty seat.

"Who should be sat there?" I asked.

"Oh, that's the wifes seat but she couldn't come as she died recently." He replied.

"I'm very sorry to hear that, but with it being such a big game today, couldn't you give her ticket to a friend or reletive?" I questioned, to which the loving husband replied.
