At their monthly meeting on Monday 7th of April, Pendle Movie Makers recorded with sadness the death on 30th March of their chairman Geoffrey Petts.
He had held this position since1995 and filled it with modesty and good humour.
We particularly remember his easy manner in welcoming guests and visitors to our meetings, and speaking for us when we visited other clubs. Geoffrey had, in partnership with Jack Wilkinson, found satisfaction in making a particular kind of film for charities and educational enterprises which allowed him to continue a lifetime of concern for other people which had led him first to the Unitarian Ministry and later into organising OXFAM in the North-West.
