Walking around Blackburn Town Centre over the last few weeks, I've started to notice a worrying trend - lack of people around. I realise its holiday time, and people take days out and about but please spare a thought for us in Blackburn. During all this redevelopment work we need your loyalty more than ever, and prospective business's looking at Blackburn as a place to invest need to see it busy - so when your next looking to shop or just go out for the day, don't wait until its all finished but come and look at how the face of Blackburn is changing.

Philip weve entered a recession, which could be one the worst we've experienced for a long long time, its not just Blackburn though.

Visited Manchester on monday, first time i'd noticed the place to be very quite and interesting to find a few pubs had gone into liquidation.

Brace yourself, the only people with money are at the top end of the pay scale and Blackburn doesnt exactly atract an abundance of them does it.

Righht now Blackburn is an expensive place to park. However up near asda its free...
The night life is now dead due to various factors including the closing down of the cinema, changing night clubs to flats and the increasing price in pubs. Apparently this is due to high rent and high beer prices from breweries. Most other towns around here have a much healthier town centre despite the recession.
