The Nelson and District branch of the British Legion marches through Barrowford

Last Saturday's parade through Barrowford for the blessing of the new standard for the Nelson and District branch of the Royal British Legion.

Myself and Lindsay Marshall, both from Barrowford, took part as ex servicemen with the 1st Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.

the service at st thomas and the march through the village for the british legion were very poingnant the veterans stood proud. i was very proud to see my son ron in the parade as an ex servicice man of the queens lancs reg now called the duke of lancasters
