LANCASHIRE was hit by torrential rain and strong winds at the weekend.
The rain caused river levels to rise and standing water on roads caused difficult driving conditions.
Temperatures remained mild with lows of 5 degrees C but a dip is predicted for the coming week.
Forecasters predict bright and sunny spells for today with light winds and a possible shower.
The outlook through to Thursday is for variable cloud cover and bright or sunny spells.
The week will be mainly dry, but overnight frosts are possible.
