Marc Anthony has made his break-up from Jennifer Lopez official by filing for divorce in Los Angeles.
The singer has filed his petition to end the marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.
The pair announced they were ending their marriage in June after seven years. They have twin children together, and Anthony is asking for joint custody.
It is Anthony's second marriage. J-Lo had been married twice before when the couple wed in 2004.
Anthony has delved into acting and producing in recent years. The singers have intertwined their careers over the years, appearing in both a movie and a reality television series together.
J-Lo has seen her career rebound since joining American Idol as a judge.
