Tom Hanks is named as the second richest Oscar winner in the list, researched and compiled by high-net-worth intelligence firm Wealth-X.

All the other stars on the list have just one Oscar each, although Sandra Bullock, who shares 10th place with Robin Williams, is tipped to win a second Best Actress gong this year for her role in 3D space epic Gravity. She and Robin are both estimated to be worth 150 million dollars (£90 million).

Making up the rest of the top 10 are Sir Sean Connery in fifth place, followed by George Clooney, Michael Douglas and Sir Anthony Hopkins consecutively.

Wealth-X's list is based on its proprietary valuation model, which it used to assess all asset holdings, including privately and publicly held businesses and investible assets.
