Splash! presenter Gabby Logan has said the show's contestants might as well be naked as they are so focused on diving they don't think about what they are wearing.
Gabby and Vernon Kay co-host the ITV diving show, which sees celebrities taught to dive by Olympic star Tom Daley before competing on live TV in front of a panel of judges. The stars often worry before the show about appearing in their swimsuits on live TV.
But Gabby said: "They forget what they're wearing, once they've put their robe on. So if they'd forgotten to put their swimsuit on in some kind of horrible Emperor's New Clothes moment, I honestly think they wouldn't notice, until the audience gasped, because they're so in that head space.
"They spend hours agonising beforehand saying 'I don't want to wear this', and 'I don't want to wear that.' Actually once they get out there they could be naked because all they're thinking about not killing themselves."
This week sees Boyzone's Keith Duffy, TV presenter Anna Williamson, singer and actress Toyah Willcox, TV and radio presenter Paul Ross and former rugby player Martin Offiah take the plunge.
Last week The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins showed off horrific bruises on her chest which she had received from hitting the water at the wrong angle during training.
Gabby said: "I was quite shocked when we were in rehearsal in the afternoon when she actually revealed as much as she did. And then when she did it again later on! I thought she might be a bit coy, but she likes to show what her hard work has been achieving."
Splash! returns on Saturday January 11 at 7pm on ITV.
