Jennifer Lawrence is to make a guest appearance in Dumb And Dumber To, reportedly as a younger version of Kathleen Turner's character.
The Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook actress took time out from filming of the third Hunger Games film Mockingjay to spend a day on the set of the upcoming comedy sequel, where she shot her cameo, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Kathleen will play Fraida Felcher, the love interest of dim-witted best friends Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, played by Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels respectively.
Rob Riggle is set to join the cast as two new characters: he would play twins, "a handyman named Travis and his unstable brother, Captain Lippencot".
"Hello, Rob Riggle!," tweeted directors Peter and Bobby Farrelly.
Brady Bluhm will return to play the pair's blind neighbour Billy, with Rachel Melvn, Steve Tom, and Laurie Holden also set for appearances.
Filming on Dumb And Dumber To, directed and co-written by the Farrelly brothers, has already started in Atlanta.
The third film is tipped to be released in summer 2014, to coincide with the first film's 20th anniversary.
