Alan Halsall is excited about becoming a father
Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has revealed that he is set to become a dad.
The 30-year-old actor, who plays mechanic Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, is expecting his first child with actress wife Lucy-Jo Hudson.
He announced the news on Twitter saying: "My wife @LucyJo_Hudson & I are very excited to announce that we are expecting our 1st child. Xx We are both over the moon! Xxx"
Lucy-Jo, 29, who starred in ITV drama Wild At Heart, added: "I can't wait to be mummy xxx"
Messages of congratulations were posted to the pair from their Corrie and Wild At Heart castmates including Amanda Holden, Brooke Vincent, Jack P Shepherd and Samia Ghadie.
The couple met on the set of Coronation Street when Lucy-Jo played Katy Harris, but only started dating once she left in 2005. They married in June 2009.
