Justin Timberlake has denied calling his ex Britney Spears a "b***h" during one of his comeback gigs.
The star sparked rumours when he performed his classic 2002 break-up track Cry Me A River - which is thought to have been about Britney - at DirecTV's Super Bowl concert in New Orleans at the weekend, after telling the audience: "Sometimes in life, you think you found the one but then one day you find out that she is just some b***h."
But he has now taken to Twitter to clear up the matter, after his remark sparked speculation he might have been referring to his former flame.
He tweeted: "Ok. I see you. Wouldn't disrespect ANYONE personally. Ever. #Relax #ItsBritneyBitch I do love that saying though*with accent* #Respect."
Justin, 32, dated Britney between 1999 and 2002. He is now married to Total Recall actress Jessica Biel.
