Danniella Westbrook has been hailed as a "hero" after she helped a man who collapsed on the street.
The ex-EastEnders actress, 39, was having dinner with friends and her husband to celebrate her first month of filming on Hollyoaks when the drama unfolded outside a restaurant in London's West End
The Daily Mirror said she put the 51-year-old man in the recovery position, cleared his airway and called 999.
Danniella told the newspaper: "It's flattering if people are calling me a hero but I don't want to make too much of a fuss.
"I was just doing my bit and would help anyone else in the same situation.
"It all happened so quickly and was scary but I tried to keep my cool until the arrival of the emergency services who were brilliant."
An onlooker said: "She was every inch a hero as she whipped off her jacket and covered him up to keep him warm in the freezing cold.
"She also asked a passer-by for their coat, checked the chap's airways, put him in the recovery position, and managed to keep him conscious until paramedics arrived."
Danniella, who previously played EastEnders' Sam Mitchell, is set to appear as Trudy in Channel 4 show Hollyoaks.
The mother-of-two has been drug free for 12 years after battling a cocaine addiction.
