The Bingo Players have scored a UK number one hit single
Dutch dance duo Bingo Players have scored their first UK number one with a track that failed to make the top 40 in their native country, the Official Charts Company said.
Their single, Get Up (Rattle), featuring Far East Movement knocked pop princess Britney Spears and Will.I.Am with Scream & Shout off the summit.
The music video featuring a gang of urban vigilante ducks has attracted more than three million views on YouTube.
Bandmates Paul Baumer and Maarten Hoogstraten said: "We are so excited to have our first number one record in the UK."
"Growing up in the Netherlands, we have always watched the UK charts as a great indicator of what's to come next and really admired and looked up to great British dance artists and producers like The Prodigy and The KLF.
"Now to be among those ranks means the world to us! We couldn't have done it without the support of our fans, so we have to give them a shout out and thank them for their support through the years."
US singer Taylor Swift climbed one place to number three with her single I Knew You Were Trouble, while Rihanna's track Stay featuring Mikky Ekko and Drinking from the Bottle by Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah complete the top five.
Teen star Conor Maynard's track Animal with rapper Wiley shot up a massive 28 places to make number six.
Former X Factor star Amelia Lily was the second highest new entry with her single Shut Up (And Give Me Whatever You Got) at number 11.
Meanwhile, the film cast of Les Miserables topped the album charts for the second week running, with Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events still at number two.
