Racing fan Simon Cowell has splashed out on a horse
Simon Cowell has apparently splashed out on a racehorse with his pals Ant and Dec.
The TV boss and his Britain's Got Talent hosts, along with a fourth friend, spent thousands on buying a talented young filly and plan to start racing her this year, reported The Sun.
A source said the X Factor head honcho has "been into racing for years".
The insider went on: "He has always wanted to be more involved than being just a punter. The opportunity came up to buy a young horse that's destined for the track and they all jumped at the chance."
Comedy duo Ant and Dec have already owned and raced a horse so the pair are said to be guiding animal-lover Simon through his latest venture.
The group have yet to name their new steed, but friends have joked that they should give her a title reflecting their TV show, such as Britain's Trot Talent.
