Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner has said Shayne Ward will have to prove he can work hard, after finding fame on The X Factor.
The outspoken judge told Now magazine he thinks The X Factor can breed laziness, and so he will be watching Shayne carefully in the skating competition to see if he is dedicated enough to win.
Jason sniped: "The X Factor doesn't really set out to make stars any more - not as winners. It hasn't had that track record.
"A lot of these shake and bake music stars who've come up through these TV shows don't have a great work ethic, I've noticed. That's why they don't stick around.
"With this show you have to work hard. Has Shayne got the work ethic? I don't know."
Jason also admitted the comments he received from angry fans, which have even included death threats, because of his outspoken remarks, do hurt.
He said: "Absolutely. That's what people forget - you're human just like everybody else. When you're up, you can deal with it. When you're down and everyone's turning on you it's hard. But I'm a survivor."
