Lancashire Telegraph: Little Mix's Perrie Edwards will have to miss their December shows Little Mix's Perrie Edwards will have to miss their December shows

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards has been forced to pull out of all the band's December shows after getting ill.

The Sun said that the singer, 19, who is in a relationship with One Direction's Zayn Malik, had been struck by a "recurring tonsil problem".

Her spokesman told the newspaper: "Perrie is very disappointed to miss out.

"However, Leigh-Anne, Jade and Jesy do not want to let down the fans coming to see them so will perform at the upcoming shows, including Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 this Saturday, without her until she is well enough to return."

Perrie, who has been sporting a new, purple hair-do, recently watched Zayn and his One Direction bandmates perform at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The couple looked loved-up as they emerged hand-in-hand following the show after-party.

Meanwhile, Zayn's mum was quoted as telling Heat magazine: "Perrie would be a perfect daughter-in-law. I don't think we'll be seeing a proposal anytime soon, because they both want to focus on their careers.

"She's lovely though. Zayn saw her on the telly and knew he liked her, he just had to convince her. Our families are each other's families."
