THERE is close on £400 at stake on Tuesday, January 22, when the Borough Pairs snooker tournament reaches its climax at the Darwen pub.
The first of the two semi-finals will get under way at 7.45 and all
three matches will follow the usual rules; aggregate score over two frames.
Stuart Seaton and Bob Dewhurst from the Fox & Hounds at Ewood are previous winners and so is Pete Jennings who teams up this time with his cousin Mark Jennings, the current Blackburn with Darwen League individual champion.

The Big Boys, Ammi D'ippolito and Steve Williams (Cherry Tree), have come close and are in top form in the local league.
They start favourites to pick up the £250 first prize.
Says organiser Ollie Taylor: "It's been another very good competition with quite a few surprises. I think it's wide open."
Landlord Ray Tompkins will be laying on refreshments and presenting the prizes.
