Rivals ready for knockout blow

IT'S the final of the Clitheroe & District snooker league team knockout this week and next between Low Moor A and Royal British Legion.

Low Moor are favourites for the title which is decided on aggregate but they certainly won't have things all their own way. In the semi-final they beat Rimington A while the Legion beat Division 2 side Waddington B.

The teams: Low Moor A: Marc Holmes, Pete Mercer, Carl Drinkwater, Scott Thompson, Dave Ireland, Paul Traynor and Steve Traynor.

Legion: Dean Walmsley, Mick Peel, Jake Chadwick, Steve Taylor, Liam Sutcliffe and Gav McQuade.

First leg is tomorrow night (Wednesday, March 5) at Low Moor and the return is next Wednesday (March 12).
