ROSSENDALE’S outside hopes of runners-up spot in National League Three North are over after slipping to the narrowest of defeats.

Despite playing the best rugby and running in three fine tries, Dale only had a solitary losing bonus point to show for their troubles.

“Sometimes you don’t always get what you deserve,” said player coach James Bramhall. “We were the better team for all of the game, played all the rugby, yet came away with only a losing bonus point.

“However, we can be extremely proud of our efforts.”

Dale’s tries were scored by Danny Greenhaulgh, Danny Collins and Andy Dauncey (left) with Bramhall adding two conversions and a penalty.
