Burnley got back to North Lancashire Division One winning ways as they claimed the points against the league’s bottom side Bury.

But while Holden Road chiefs were happy with the win, they plan to work on the training ground to rid their side of the mistakes and moments of indiscipline that could cost them dear.

Starting quickly, Burnley dominated the early exchanges, with good blind side work Ryan Bradley cut a great angle and over he went for a try.

Some great runs were being made by Chris Baxendale and Ed Taylor and Burnley had a line out fed Simon Finnan who avoided two players and released Bradley who scored under the posts with Steve Kent converting.

Burnley indisclipline cost them three points but next to score was Kent, who also converted his own try.

Into the second half Burnley did defend well but Bury crossed the line for a converted effort.

Despite their hard work, Bury couldn’t get back into the game and remain winless with a points difference of minus 301 from their nine games.

Burnley welcome Bolton to Holden Road on Saturday.
