AFTER their recent troubles on the road, it was a case of home sweet home as Blackburn maintained their unbeaten record at Ramsgreave Drive.

While Burn have lost their last three games on their travels, they are a different proposition at home as they turned in their best performance of the season against an in-form and well organised Heaton Moor side.

The opening stages were equally contested, with neither side able to make any breakthrough before Max Fullalove slotted a penalty over to give Blackburn the lead in the 14th minute.

Danny Holland then launched a rapid Blackburn attack with a quick tap and go from a penalty on the halfway line and the ball was spun through hands before it was spilled with the try line in sight.

Heaton Moor, who had missed an earlier penalty, wasted another chance to get points on the board with a wayward kick.

Fullalove scored the opening try after intercepting a Heaton Moor pass in the Blackburn 22 and racing the length of the field to score.

Heaton Moor pulled a try back soon after the restart to cut the gap to 8-5.

But Blackburn replied with a fine move involving Liam Oldham, Holland and the impressive Damian Miller who fed winger Pete McVeigh to score.

Player/coach Dino Radice added a third try when he crashed through the defence to seal the victory.
