BLACKBURN Under 16s will be hoping to pull off another shock and book a place in the Lancashire Cup final.
Having beaten West Park 15-5 in the quarter finals, Blackburn travel to Vale of Lune in the last four on Sunday aiming to reach its first ever cup final.
The team, who have made great strides in recent years, has thrived as underdogs.
The team includes eight pupils from QEGS including Louis Riley-Brazier, Alex Garner, George Godfrey, Tom Hallam, Sam Higson, Adam Rowland, Taz Sarodia, Miles Starkie and Callum Burke and Jack Swindlehurst who both scored tries in the victory at West Park.
“A couple of years ago, we were ranked at the bottom,” said coach Martin Hallam. “Now we are in the top four at least.
“We have worked very hard over the last three years and to get to the semi finals in a fantastic achievement.”
