New Barnoldswick pavilion opened

A PENDLE village park’s new £620,000 pavilion has been officially opened.

The unveiling, in Victory Park, Barnoldswick, at noon was attended by councillors and sports people, who are celebrating success after a 10-year battle to get the new facilities.

The opening event gave residents and sports clubs the opportunity to look round the new facilities, which consist of six changing rooms with changing rooms for officials.

Coun Bell said: “It’s taken ten years to achieve this £620,000 new building.”

I am tired of seeing our local officials appearing in photographs for local events. What about all the team players who will be using these facilities. Where are they in this photograph? Why wasn't the ribbon cut by a local sporting hero?
