Colne and Nelson Rugby Club will be celebrating their 80th anniversary with a match with a difference.
Club members and players of all ages will be taking part in a sponsored walk for the amateur sports club, in Holt House playing fields, to the top of Pendle Hill on July 5.
All money raised will help fund the junior section of the club, which will also hold a rugby game on top of Pendle Hill.
The game, complete with plastic posts, could be the highest game in England at 557m.
The walk is starting from Barley car park at noon.
Anyone interested in taking part in the walk should call Simon Reed, the club’s press secretary on 01282 869398 or they can email sianddebreed@tiscali.co.uk.
