LAURA Massaro is through to the quarter finals of the Commonwealth Games after sealing a 3-0 victory over Amanda Landers-Murphy from New Zealand.
But the 34-year-old from Chorley, who is top seed on the Gold Coast, did not get it all her own way as she had to come from behind in the opening two games before eventually wrapping up 11-8, 13-11, 11-8 victory in a match that lasted 33 minutes.
Massaro has a difficult quarter final tie against Tesni Evans on Saturday morning having lost her previous two encounters with the Wales number one.
