EAST Lancashire golfer Sophie Lamb will line up for England in the Nations Cup next month.
Lamb, who plays out of Clitheroe Golf Club, will be joined by Annabell Fuller and Lily May Humphreys for the Portuguese women’s amateur championship.
The tournament will be played at the West Cliff Golf Resort from 24-27 January, with the Nations Cup team event taking place alongside the first three rounds. The best two scores from three will count each day.
Lamb, 20, won the Smyth Salver as the low amateur at the Ricoh Women’s British Open in Scotland, and helped England successfully defend the European women’s team championship. She is a past winner of the British women's stroke play championship.
Meanwhile, Lamb and her England's women's team championship teammates have been shortlisted for the England Golf Awards Performance of the Year. The winners will be announced on February 22.
