PHIL Haggerty has stepped down as captain of Ribblesdale League cricket side Padiham.
Haggerty guided the club to promotion from Section B this season but worked commitments have forced him to resign as skipper.
He said: "It's been an honour and a pleasure to captain such a fantastic cricket club and I can you assure you I haven't taken this decision lightly.
"What's been an even bigger honour has been skippering a great set of lads who have played some fantastic cricket this season and as a result have deservingly won promoted.
"I wish the next captain of Padiham all the very best and will still enjoying playing for this great club."
