LANCASHIRE League leaders Clitheroe will have England international Samit Patel in their ranks for Saturday's clash with East Lancashire.

The Chatburn Road side have moved to draft in the 32-year-old after club professional Fawad Alam returned home this week.

Patel has played in six Test matches for his country and 36 ODIs and has taken nearly 300 first class wickets and scored more than 11,000 runs.

The Nottinghamshire all-rounder has featured in 33 games across all formats for his county this term and leads their County Championship batting averages and is second in the One-Day Cup averages.

He has scored more than 1,200 runs this season for Notts and taken 32 wickets.

Clitheroe currently have a five-point advantage over Darwen at the top of the A Division table.

Meanwhile, Enfield will have Warwickshire all-rounder Keith Barker standing in for their clash with Bacup on Saturday after scheduled sub professional Graeme van Buuren pulled out injured.

Enfield's 2017 pro Ravi Teja returned home earlier this week and the Dill Hall Lane men will have Woodbank's Jonny Whitehead standing in for the remainder of the campaign.
