CLITHEROE face an Accrington Stanley XI at Shawbridge on Saturday (3pm) as they continue to build up to the Evo-Stik League First Division North campaign.

The Blues were 2-0 winners over Morecambe's development squad in midweek and have moved to bring striker Sefton Gonzales back to the club.

The frontman is back for a third spell with Simon Haworth's side and admitted he was delighted to have sealed his return.

He said: "Clitheroe is the only place I've played at that feels like home.

"It's the only club I've been happy at since my last game for them, and I've always kept an eye on how the club has been doing. They had a really good season with a whole new team and management last year.

"I'm really looking forward to working with Simon Haworth and the management team, especially with Simon being a striker at the highest level I will learn more and improve further.

"I can't wait to see what the club can do this year! I'm also looking forward to seeing all the Clitheroe fans again."

Elsewhere on Saturday, Chorley continue their build-up to the new National League North season with a home game against League Two side Fleetwood Town tomorrow (3pm) while Nelson entertain neighbours Barnoldswick Town (3pm).
