EAST Lancashire sprint star Graeme Ballard will turn his attention to the 100m after missing out on a medal in the 200m at the World Para Athletics Championships in London.

Chorley's Ballard was sixth in the T36 final on Monday night, clocking 25.51secs as Australian James Turner won in a world record time of 24.09secs.

Ballard, 37, had earlier finished second in his heat in qualifying for the showpiece and returns to the track on Saturday for the 100m heats (12.20pm) with the final scheduled for later that night (8.10pm).
