COLNE will kick off the new Evo-Stik League First Division North season at home to newly-promoted Atherton Collieries.

The Reds lost in the play-off semi-finals last season and will again be targeting a promotion push this time around.

Steve Cunningham's side travel to Mossley on Tuesday, August 15 and return to Holt House on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, for a clash with Goole.

The reverse fixture with the Lincolnshire side is on new year's day while Boxing Day sees an East Lancashire derby at home to Clitheroe with Colne away at South Shields on the final day of the campaign.

Colne are in pre-season action on Saturday when they host a Fleetwood Town XI.

Clitheroe begin their campaign with a home game against Droylsden before a midweek trip to Glossop North End.

The Blues travel to Kendal Town on August Bank Holiday with the reverse fixture on New Year's Day, a week after the derby at Colne.

Simon Haworth's men end the season at home to Skelmersdale United and visit Squires Gate in a friendly match on Saturday.

Ramsbottom United also begin the season at home with Tadcaster Albion the visitors to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium before a midweek trip to Wales to face Colwyn Bay.

Mark Fell's men host Radcliffe Borough on August Bank Holiday Monday and make the reverse trip on New Year's Day.

Boxing Day sees a home clash with Atherton Collieries while the season ends with a trip to Glossop North End.
