BARNOLDSWICK won a rain-affected game with Earby in the Ribblesdale League on Saturday with Abdul Saddique's unbeaten 64 ultimately proving the difference between the sides.

Earby batted first in a match that was reduced to 34 overs per side and were bowled out for 152 off the final of the innings.

Sam Parry made 41 while Richard Craddock weighed in with 35. Barlick professional Shashrika Pussegolla impressed with the ball as he took 6-45 while Patrick Turner claimed 4-34.

In reply, Barnoldswick were always behind the run rate but two rain interventions reduced the match to 27 overs before another downpour threatened a no result.

But the weather eased and Barlick, chasing a revised target of 109 off 21 overs, returned needing 37 off 34 deliveries.

And Saddique's fine form helped them over the line with nine wickets and seven balls to spare leaving Earby unfortunate.

Elsewhere, a century from Callum Clarke helped Padiham to victory over Euxton.

Clarke hit 117 and professional Brady Barends added an unbeaten 84 as the visitors made 227-5 off 38 overs.

In reply, Euxton looked well placed at 118-3 but Kevin Hitchon then took 6-10 as the home side collapsed to 135 all out.

Read made the highest score of the day as Matt Walker's 110 helped them to 286 all out against Feniscowles, for who Matthew Hope took five wickets.

And that total proved more than enough as Walker's 4-39 helped bowl out Feniscowles for 133.

Merennage Fernando produced a man of the match display as Oswaldtwistle Immanuel beat Cherry Tree.

He hit 78 in their 200-4 from 41 overs before taking 5-56 as the visitors were bowled out for 120 despite Kelan Florentine's unbeaten 34.

Salesbury were left to rue conceding 44 extras as they suffered defeat to Brinscall.

Having made 141, Salesbury were in the game but Sam MacLachlan made 60 for Brinscall and the extras count meant that the visitors won by two wickets.

Whalley enjoyed a 62-run win over Baxenden with professional Toby Bulcock the star of the show. He top scored with 36 in a 40-over total of 178-9 before taking 4-38 to help bowl Bash out for 116 despite Ryan Victor's 41.

Settle beat Ribblesdale Wanderers by 16-runs in a match reduced to 22 overs a side.

The home side made 115-7 with Ian Britcliffe taking 5-68 for Wanderers and that proved enough as the visitors were restricted to 99-7 in reply with Sadrian Ward claiming 6-38.
