STEVEN Burke will go for World Championship glory this week as the East Lancashire cyclist lines up for Great Britain.
The two-time Olympic champion is part of a strong team pursuit squad which travels to Hong Kong for the track cycling world championships which get under way today.
The Colne rider, competing for Britain for the first time since the European Championships in October, is joined in the 19-strong squad by Andy Tennant and Chris Latham with the team pursuit final taking place tomorrow.
Burke's fellow Olympians Katie Archibald and Elinor Barker headline the women's squad which also includes a host of talented young riders.
The championships run until Sunday.
