ROSSENDALE United were knocked out of the UniBond League President's Cup at Bury's Gigg Lane.
Over 1,500 fans saw the Stags hold the Rebels for 55 minutes until Rory Patterson broke the deadlock and put United in front.
And then Stuart Rudd doubled United's advantage on 81 minutes to put them in the driving seat.
But Rossendale weren't about to lie down and got a goal back through Matt Edginton but it wasn't enough to force a replay.
