ROSSENDALE United showed their never-say-die spirit once again yesterday in a thrilling 3-3 UniBond Division One (North) draw at derby rivals Clitheroe.

For the second time in four days, the Stags grabbed two goals in the dying minutes to snatch a draw.

Derek Egan's men achieved that feat at home to Chorley on Saturday, and trailing 3-1 to Clitheroe yesterday with just a minute of normal time remaining - and with a player sent off - they stormed back to claim an unlikely share of the spoils.

After 25 minutes, the Blues were two goals to the good due to a double from Mickey Saunders.

Just before the interval, Rossy reduced the arrears through Andrew Watson.

But Clitheroe looked to have wrapped up the points when former Stags striker Neil Zarac headed them into a 3-1 lead on 84 minutes.

And their chances were boosted when Stags defender James Heywood was red-carded for a bad tackle.

But Rossendale began their remarkable turnaround with an 89th minutes goal from Phil Eastwood.

And after Clitheroe striker Joel Byrom was subbed to a standing ovation - before completing his move to Blue Square Premier side Northwich - the Stags levelled in the third-minute of stoppage time with Watson on the mark again.
