RAMSBOTTOM United have been rocked by the news that influential midfielder Dave Hanlon will be out of action for eight months after suffering an horrific ankle injury.
Hanlon broke and dislocated his left ankle, and broke his leg's tibia and fibula, in United's 2-1 Boxing Day defeat to Salford City.
He was stretchered off and sent to Bury's Fairfield Hospital, where he will undergo an operation today.

"I went to see Dave in hospital yesterday and he's shaping up okay," said Rams boss Neil Hart.
"It's a horrible injury, although it could have been much worse.
"He's just come off worse in a 50-50 tackle. There was a coming together and we knew straight away that Dave was hurt."
Sean Pearson is expected to replace Hanson for United's league clash at home to Squires Gate tomorrow.
