CRUNCH! Darwen's Sam Williams slides into this meaty challenge
THIS game never looked lilkely to mirror the seven-goal thriller in the reverse fixture back in November, as both teams struggled to cope with the blustery conditions.
In the first half, Darwen played with a high defence, trying to put pressure on the visitors, but Castleton broke through the line on several occasions and the home team had to thank Joe Darwin, whose timely runs out from goal thwarted the attacks.
In the second half, Darwin made a double-handed save from Castleton's Barrington.
From the resulting corner, the danger wasn't cleared, and Barrington was on hand to steer the ball low inside the right-hand post.
The Salmoners looked to have lost the game, when in injury time, they were awarded a penalty as Reece Rowinski's drive was handled in the area.
Matt Haworth coolly put the spot kick past Canning in goal to rescue a point for Darwen.
