Darwen suffered a heavy defeat against a side that had started the season badly, not winning a match for the first 20 games, but were now one of the division's form teams.
The hosts took the lead on 17 minutes. Bamber crossed the ball to Southward, whose strike beat the outrushing Joe Darwin.
The home side struck again two minutes later, as Capstick dispatched the ball past Darwin.
Southward and Lighftoot added further goals in the second-half.
