Colne Reserves defeated North West Counties Reserve Division title contenders Bootle in spectacular fashion with a hat-trick of penalties from Ben Mouseley.
Colne could have fallen behind in the opening minutes but for a last ditch save by Chris Brennan at the feet of the Bootle centre forward.
Then, on 25 minutes, Danny Craig crossed to Mouseley who was pushed to the ground giving the referee no alternative but to award a penalty which Mouseley convincingly converted.

In the second half, Bootle were denied an early equaliser when Dominic Craig headed off the line.
And on 65 minutes Mouseley latched onto an excellent pass from Andy Howarth but was dragged back by his shirt resulting in his second penalty conversion.
Mouseley completed his hat trick 10 minutes later when after being pulled back again he coolly converted his third penalty kick.
l Colne's North West Counties match at Ramsbottom was postponed due to a water-logged pitch.
