Chorley skipper Martin Clark is keen to add another Lancashire FA Trophy winner's award to the two he collected while with Southport when the Magpies take on the Sandgrounders in the final at Thurston Road, Leyland, on Wednesday, April 2.
Clark was a winner when Port beat Accrington Stanley 3-0 at Deepdale in 1997 and when they pipped Tony Hesketh's Lancaster City 1-0 in 2001 before a Victory Park crowd of 779.
Last time Chorley reached the final was in 1993 when they lost 5-2 after extra time - to Southport.
It was the ATS Lancashire FA Trophy then and since a merger within the Co-operative organisation saw the name United dropped, it is now The Co-operative Lancashire FA Trophy.
