WITH three players making their debuts, Bacup Borough dominated this game from start to finish.
Coming into the side was former FC United goalkeeper Phil Melville, utility player Dean Steph-enson and 18-year-old striker John Stephenson.
It was a Stephenson's Rocket from the latter on 50 minutes which broke the deadlock and provided Borough with what has been missing in previous games.

Early on, Tony Carroll's cross gave Sean Cryer a shot at goal which was inches wide.
Then quality play followed with Stephenson, Repullo and Luker linking up well before Luker's effort just went wide of the upright.
Then, right on the stroke of half-time, Steve Stott made a strong challenge before playing a good through ball to Cryer whose clever flick over the keeper went agonizingly wide of the far post.
But the visitors went ahead just minutes later thanks to a well struck finish.
It started when Repullo found Luker and he played in Steve Stott, who played the ball to Carroll.
His pass picked out Stephenson to strike across Bates in the Atherton goal.
