Burnley's Michael Haworth finished 28th and 22nd overall in the first round proper of the British Superbike Championship at Thruxton.
In his first race for over a year following injury, Haworth had a problematic start and soon found himself playing catch up, finishing 28th out of a field of 32.
As the race progressed, Haworth's lap times on the Tena For Men Honda improved allowing him to work on his setup for race two.
