BILLINGTON rider Phil Blackmore is targeting a top five finish in this year's Derby Phoenix National Championships.
And after fully recovering from an operation on his leg, he revealed he is feeling fitter than ever ahead of the first race this weekend at Brands Hatch.
Blackmore was at Oulton Park recently where he managed to knock two seconds off his fastest lap time.

Now he's hoping to transfer that kind of form into the Championship.
He said: "I'm going into the Championship full of confidence and I'm looking to finish, hopefully, in the top five."
Blackmore is sponsored by Andrew and Lesley Walker from Kenleys of Darwen, who are buying his tyres for the season. Lee Boyle, from James Alpe, is supplying the support van.
