HASLINGDEN’S Tom Carne is aiming to bounce back from a difficult outing at Cadwell Park when he returns to action at Donington Park this weekend.
Carne finished 12th at Cadwell after set-up issues in qualifying, followed by a wobble in the race after he had climbed to fifth position.
“I arrived at Cadwell with true grit and determination,” said the 19-year-old, who races for the Barnsley-based Team Repli-Cast Racing.
“Overall it was not a good weekend but I will do my best to come back stronger and more determined at Donington.
“I aim to come back more powerful than ever.”
Carne currently sits eighth in the championship ahead of this weekend’s event in Leicestershire.
Luke Hedger, of Burnley team FPW Racing, has a commanding 46-point lead in the standings after finishing sixth at Cadwell Park.
Ryan Watson, of Colne outfit Appleyard/Macadam, is sixth overall in the series and fourth in the Motostar Cup standings for young riders.
Callum Bey, of Burnley team RCD Motorsport, is 10th and Worsthorne’s Harry Hartley is 12th overall and third in the Motostar Cup.
