WALLASEY Motor Club are laying claim to holding the first 'Super Special' stage on a clubman rally on a closed public road in the UK when this year's promenade stages runs as a two-day event on September 9 and 10.

Spectators at the 30th anniversary of the New Brighton event will see pairs of cars competing over a World Rally-style stage that allows cars to start simultaneously using inner and outer roads with a stage split crossover point.

The first cars will start at 7pm and the reverse seeded starting order means the top crews will run last.

Regulations will be available from www.wallaseymc.com
