HASLINGDEN motorcycle ace Tom Carne will share the track with some of the globe’s finest riders this weekend as he competes in a support race for the World Superbike Championship.
Carne has made an encouraging start to his debut campaign in the TriStar Triple Challenge, winning the fourth race of the series to sit fifth in the current standings.
The first two race meetings were during British Superbike Championship rounds but over the Bank Holiday weekend the Triple Challenge links up with the World Superbike Championship at Donington Park.
Among those competing in the World Superbike Championship are 2013 champion Tom Sykes as well as Marco Melandri, Eugene Laverty and Alex Lowes.
