BLACKBURN Harriers ace Joseph Monk raced to third place in Sunday’s Garstang Gallop 10k in 37 minutes and 20 seconds.

There was also a top five finish for Blackburn Road Runners’ Daniel Isherwood as he passed the post in fifth in 39mins 59secs.

Clayton-le-Moors Harriers’ Stephen Biscomb was the first M60 and 13th overall in 43mins 6secs.

He was followed by Accrington Road Runners’ Paul Wickham, who was the second-fastest M50 and 17th overall in 43mins 6secs.

Following up were Clayton-le-Moors Harriers’ Brian Wildman (26th in 47mins 3secs), Chorley Athletic and Triathlon Club’s Paul Edmondson (29th in 47mins 19secs), Clayton-le-Moors Harriers’ Martin Brady (30th in 47mins 48secs), Blackburn Road Runners’ Margaret Keighley (49th in 52mins 37secs), Blackburn Harriers’ Carol Cookson (60th in 54mins 43secs), Blackburn Road Runners’ Lorna Bowes (67th in 56mins), Clayton-le-Moors Harriers’ Ron Chappell (70th in 56mins 47secs), Blackburn Road Runners’ Michelle Houghton (74th in 57mins 42secs) and Harriers’ David Morris (82nd in 1hour 34secs).
